“The BRAIN gives the heart its SIGHT

The HEART gives the brain its VISION.”

An introductory talk and a BodyTalk ACCESS workshop in October 2006 set me on the path to becoming a certified BodyTalk practitioner in 2007.  At that time I was already experiencing the benefits of BodyTalk as a client.

BodyTalk reinforced my firm and long held belief that the body has an innate wisdom and intelligence to heal itself on all levels.  I was also drawn to BodyTalk because it acknowledges the uniqueness of each individual. Each responds to a BodyTalk session in their own way, in their own time. Light tapping on the brain and heart balances the body's energy systems according to the priority needs of that person. Clients usually notice significant results after 3-4 sessions, but sometimes the beneficial effects of a BodyTalk session can be experienced instantly.

Since becoming a BodyTalk practitioner, I have had the privilege of journeying with three terminally ill clients.  BodyTalk was the gift that enabled these people to find a place of peaceful acceptance and, finally, to let go and move on in a most peaceful and beautiful way.

This profound experience gave me an insight into the potential of BodyTalk in palliative care and this is an area that I am interested in exploring further. To this end, since March 2014, I volunteer once a week at the St John of God Community Hospice in Perth, Western Australia, offering BodyTalk to patients and their families.

BodyTalk courses completed:  BodyTalk Fundamentals, Principles of Consciousness, Bio-Dynamics, Lymphatic Drainage & Applied Anatomy & Physiology, Macrocosmic BodyMind, Matrix Dynamics, BodyTalk Access and MindScape.

Other modalities studied: Reiki, Touch for Health, Aromatherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Focusing Therapy, Accunet Connect, Integrated Energy Therapy, in addition to also completing a Basic Counselling Skills course
